Students work side by side with Slalom consultants during the AI for Good challenge, where they are mentored to design practical AI solutions that address real business and social problems.

The experience culminates in a “Shark Tank”-style pitch, giving students the chance to present their ideas to industry experts and receive feedback on innovation, feasibility, and ethics.

Throughout the day, students gain exposure to Slalom’s workplace culture through an office tour and interactive activities that highlight AI myths, realities, and career pathways.

By partnering with LearnIt, this program is carefully designed to stay relevant to high school students, keeping the experience professional yet free of heavy corporate jargon. By the end of the program, students walk away not only with a stronger understanding of AI but also with real consulting-style experience, professional mentorship, and recognition of their achievement as “AI Innovators.”

🌞 9:30am - 9:45am: Warm up activity: AI Myths & Realities
Interactive icebreaker where students guess whether AI “facts” are true or false, e.g., “AI can replace all jobs” — myth!

💬 9:45am - 10:00am: Keynote: The Future of AI in the Enterprise
Slalom professionals deliver a brief, inspiring talk on AI’s impact across industries (finance, healthcare, retail), the key challenges (bias, governance), and the skills essential for the future.

🧊 10:00am - 11:30am: Hands-on ICE workshop
Students learn the basics of AI in business — from identifying high-value use cases to considering ethics, privacy, and change management. Use a “design thinking” style framework tailored to AI adoption.

🥪 11:30am - 11:50am: Lunch break (fresh sandwiches or pitas!)

Slalom reps take small groups on a tour showcasing innovation spaces, client project war rooms, and AI team areas.

Students work in teams to design an AI solution to solve a real-world enterprise challenge (e.g., improving supply chain efficiency, reducing carbon footprint, enhancing customer experience). Mentors from Slalom circulate to offer guidance.

🏆 1:15pm - 1:45pm: Team Presentations: AI Solutions Pitch
Each team pitches their AI concept in a “Shark Tank” style 3-minute presentation. Slalom judges provide feedback on innovation, feasibility, and ethical considerations.
