Get ready for a truly unforgettable day where high school students step into the shoes of Canada’s future surgeons. In this exclusive SHSM experience, students will gain firsthand exposure to what it’s really like to train as a medical professional at the Temerty Advanced Surgical Education and Simulation Centre - the same facility where all surgeons in Canada are trained and examined, located under the University Health Network (UHN).

😀 9:00am - 9:30am: Students arrive (we will be there to greet you, don’t worry!)

🌞 9:30am - 9:45am: Warm-up activity (after all, we need to get warmed up!)

🧊 9:45am - 11:15am: Hands-on workshop on a Healthcare-focused ICE Training (dare we say fun)

💼 11:15am - 11:30am: Introducing the case & the client (a real challenge at Temetry)

🍱 11:30am - 12:00pm: Lunch break (we do better than pizzas, don’t worry)

🏢 12:00pm - 12:30pm: Office tour (discover the magic behind Temerty)

💡 12:30pm - 2:00pm: Dry Lab - Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (simulation assisted by staff)

🏆 2:00pm - 3:00pm: Students tackle the case challenge and present to Temerty (winner takes all!)
