This WLU workshop introduces students to hands-on robotics, connectivity, and real-world engineering challenges in Canada’s vibrant tech ecosystem.
This WLU workshop introduces students to hands-on robotics, connectivity, and real-world engineering challenges in Canada’s vibrant tech ecosystem.
Students will assemble and program ESP32 robots equipped with sensors, cameras, and motors, experiencing how hardware and software converge in real time.

They will stream live video and sensor data, and ultimately complete a final challenge: remotely navigating a robot in another room using only the camera feed.

Mentors and facilitators will guide students through hardware wiring, IoT networking, and design thinking. Highlighting inclusive and empathetic themes that ground their technical work in purpose and human impact.

🌞 9:30am - 9:45am: Kick off with an inspiring keynote presentation from a successful local Canadian entrepreneur, followed by an introduction of LearnIt
🧊 9:45am - 12:00pm: Hands-on activity-based workshops focused on Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship with a focus on Building Smart Networked Robotics (ESP32 Lab)
🍱 12:00pm - 1:00pm: Lunch with a panel discussion featuring entrepreneurs and professionals sharing their real-world experiences in the industry
👣 1:00pm - 1:45pm: Campus Tour
💡 1:45pm - 2:45pm: Students work on ICE Challenge related to the technology industry by a local client
🏆 2:45pm - 3:15pm: Solution Showcase - Teams pitch their innovative solutions directly to the client
