The Journey Began
The Journey Began
…when Dhiraj, our founder, spent 5 years working with students and professors at The University of British Columbia.
Spending time in schools, he saw firsthand how every teacher wanted to teach their students real-life skills but were unable to do so with a significant amount of work already on their plate.
As Dhiraj interacted with more students, he noticed that a large proportion of them are yet to develop skills necessary for success such as networking, financial literacy, and design thinking.
And so, LearnIt was born, with a vision to infuse real world skills in a classroom full of possibilities.

LearnIt helps secondary school students develop real-world skills like design thinking, project management, networking, and etc. Public schools and school boards collaborate with us through Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs, while private and independent schools benefit from Micro-Credentials, internship programs and industry field trips. Each session is led by industry professionals who guide learning and share their own paths in a relatable way.
Designed for hands-on practice and engagement, our sessions create magical moments that students remember. Rooted in top university principles and recognized by industry partners, the workshops connect academic rigor with practical experience. Whether in schools or immersive off-site programs hosted in workplaces, LearnIt turns learning into an experience students can carry into the future.

Through podcasts and memos, we feature conversations with directors of education, principals, and K–12 leaders, turning their experiences and perspectives into accessible insights for professional development and knowledge sharing.
We are also expanding into documentary storytelling, produced by our media team, to capture memorable journeys from schools across the province. At the same time, we are building the most trusted education information database, created by our tech talents. With these projects, LearnIt Media is becoming a go-to source for anyone interested in education, bringing fresh perspectives, practical insights, and inspiring stories all in one place.

Dhiraj Hariramani
Hi there! I'm Dhiraj, CEO of LearnIt. My passion for teaching began early when I joined my mom in teaching tech to kids at orphanages. At 14, I moved to Vancouver to study at UBC and build a life in Canada. Soon after, I landed my first paid job teaching stats to first-year students. During my time at UBC, I was a Teaching Assistant for 10 courses, started two companies, and realized Investment Banking wasn’t for me. In my final year, I founded LearnIt.

Greetings! I'm Ethan, and I focus on tech and experience at LearnIt. My college degree is actually in Chemical Engineering. It was challenging, and I loved it. Yet I wouldn’t choose it again if I had a second chance. It took me much longer to get to where I am now. That's why I believe LearnIt is incredibly important. We give high school students a real understanding of what different careers are like. They can talk to young professionals and get insights about the daily work. This helps them shape their futures in a more informed and personal way.
