What is Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM)?
The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program enables high school students to specialize in a specific economic sector while fulfilling Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) requirements. Explore how our SHSM program empowers students to discover careers firsthand! Through specialized courses, especially in business, and engaging visits to corporate offices, students connect with accomplished young professionals in their chosen fields. These experiences culminate in school board-recognized certifications that satisfy SHSM program requirements.
What is LearnIt’s off-site experience?
As part of our off-site experiences, we have partnered with leading global organizations to offer full day events at corporate offices across Ontario. These practical opportunities enable students to collaborate directly with industry partners within their chosen economic sectors and gain mentorship opportunities directly from them. Through this experience, students gain 2 SHSM certifications, an office tour, mentorship from industry leaders and a panel discussion!
Can we do more than one certification an a day?
Absolutely! Our team can do up to 2 certifications in each experience given that the students are available for all sessions.
